Color prints
I'm still getting color printing on the 4800 sorted, it's not to the stage where I can make any reasonable comments aside from it looks good. It doesn't look lik the huge step forward like the B&W, but that could be famous last words.
As I've mentioned I don't usually print on papers other than matte, as a result I've run out of what was left of my PSPP stock already.
I'll most likely be away most of today - will head back to Melbourne, hopefully catch up with some Epson reps at the trade show, fingers crossed get some matte black ink and collect some materials.

Looking at the original brochure for the 4800, it appears that you can use the same Matte Black for the 4000 in the 4800 (T5438/T5448 for 110ml/220ml respectively). There's also a new 220ml (T5658) which I understand doesn't stick out like the old one (T5448). Any of these will hopefully get you up and running.

Yes Epson confirmed this today - the same Matte Black ink is used in both the 4000 and the 4800.
The swap from Photo Black to Matte Black looks to be a PITA and from what was said today at the trade show uses 10-20ml of ink each time.
I will post further tonight - but more than likely I will not go the matte ink route this time around.
