Paper Options Black Mode
These are the Media Type options available in the driver when the 'Black' mode is selected (with MK installed).I won't be changing back to PK for sometime, but when I do will add a screenshot for it also.
Thanks to Scott for forwarding a screenshot of Media options for Black mode with PK installed, below.

Hi Pete,
If I understand the info shown when MK ink is installed in B&W mode, it indicates that three papers (text. fine art, Velvet Fine Art and Ultrasmooth) are NOT available?? I wonder why that is? I guess if true, then is any one of these papers is desires in B&W printing then one would have to resort to coverting their RGB (color) file to greyscale and print in RGB mode..is that correct? Thanks!
Dave

On my Mac with the latest driver installed, I see all media types available in "Black" mode (4800 with MK). This includes Velvet and USFA. I'm not sure why you'd want to use this mode over "Advanced B&W Photo" though.

Hi Dave,
I don't have much use for the Black mode. Epson suggesting using it:
"to print a draft or black text only"
The results are certainly pretty rough, but no doubt there are people out there using it to create interesting effects.
If you're interested in printing B&W you typically wouldn't use the Black mode, but the Color or Adv B&W mode.

Thanks Stephen. I better get around to updating my driver and seeing if it changes that on Windows too.
