I'm waiting to hear from a business called Electronflow, apparently they handle repairs to Epson Pro printers. While the repair itself - which everyone seems to agree is a dead/faulty printer battery - is under warranty I wil need to pay travel time for the tech. A bummer, but cheaper in the scheme of things than getting the printer down from the attic and driving down to Melbourne twice, and then getting the printer back up here.Otherwise things are cruising along very nicely. I had a commercial print run of cards done last week, the end products were very close to the 4800 proof I'd supplied at the start - a relief and very cool. The sound of those large Heidelberg presses as they fire up is great, like a modern steam train!
Hopefully should hear from Electronflow in the next few working days and work out a day for the repair.
